I'm Ivan Lezhnin, an indie game developer.

More than a decade of making games, and half of my life writing software.

Levocat is the site where I keep the projects I've worked on and my thoughts on what I learn along the way.

If something here catches your eye, or you just want to talk about games, write to me. I'm always glad to hear from people who make or play them.

My journey into making games started back on a ZX Spectrum. I wrote my first games in BASIC and ruined more than one of my parents' cassette tapes saving them. Then came simple little games in Pascal, and after that in Flash.

While I was working as a programmer in the financial sector, I met Unity. The engine was still young back then, but already popular, and I fell in love with it.

More than a decade ago I joined a small studio called EJaws, and that is where my career as a professional game developer began. Since then I've worked at many studios, in small indie teams, and on my own. More than fifteen of those games shipped, on PC, mobile, consoles and the web.

Most of my work is still Unity and C#: gameplay, multiplayer, and the long list of details that turn a prototype into a finished game. These days I also build tools for making life easier.
